The Sling Is The Thing

The Sling Is The Thing

Taryn and I had a little beach outing a couple of months ago and I'm just now getting around to posting a few of the cute photos we took with our favorite Sakura Bloom slings. I can tell it was a couple of months because lil Lizzy's hair is so much longer now! Here's my take on baby carriers and the best ones you can buy for different purposes:

  • Solly Wrap - This was a lifesaver for us when Lizzy was tiny because she loved the swaddle and only wanted to nap while being held PLUS she had terrible reflux so being upright helped a ton. The Solly Wrap was comfy and soft and acted like a swaddle you wear. The cons of these wraps are that in the summertime, they can get pretty hot, and they also kind of bunch up your outfit so if you're trying to wear a cute outfit and this wrap, you have to plan accordingly.
  • Sakura Bloom Sling - To me, these are the most gorgeous slings out there and are the only way to wear a baby and actually have your sling function as an accessory that complements your outfit. I still wear her a lot but after about 6 months, she was napping less frequently and the reflux subsided so I use these slings more than the wraps now. They just launched a couple of amazing new carriers that I want to check out - The Onbuhimo back carry style & The Scout front carry style.
