Baseball Fever | Family Day At Petco Park
We haven’t been to a Padres Game since before Gram was born (!) but last weekend we decided to squeeze in a game before the season ended. Not only did the kids both have a blast, but Gram caught full-blown baseball fever and has been practicing hitting everyday and even wore his Padres helmet to school yesterday!
We’d planned on going with our whole crew but my husband ended up having to work so I decided to brave the trip solo with a 4.5 and 1.5 year old. It was exhausting but so worth it and better than a trip to the regular old park!
I brought our Bugaboo Donkey Stroller that has an attachment for Gram to sit on, which definitely saved us since there was a lot of walking and helped keep him from complaining.
There are SO many amazing food options at the park, featuring tons of popular local restaurants and breweries like Lucha Libre, Buona Forchetta, Seaside Market, Pizza Port, Board and Brew and more!
Every Sunday during baseball season at Petco Park, they have bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid- friendly activities starting 2.5 hours before the game. Access is free with a ticket to that Sunday’s game! We got there two hours early to take full advantage of the kids activities! That also meant they were both ready to bail and nap after the 2nd inning, ha!
And great news if you want to experience the Petco Park magic with kids… The Padres have extended their Friar Family Days to include all remaining Padres home games through the end of September, which means $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 tickets for adults. Each ticket also includes a hot dog and soda! Don’t miss it! 🙌🏼⚾️
